Just 15 Minutes Prepare Cabbage Chutney

Cabbage Chutney for idli, dosa and Plain white Rice

Ingredients Required

Cabbage shredded or chopped -1 cup
Onions -1/2 cup chopped
Ginger -1/2 inch piece
Green chilli -2
Tomato -1/2 cup
Curry leaves -few

Tamarind - a small bit or 1/4 tsp
choped coconut Pieces-10 small pieces


For the seasoning

Oil -2 tsp
Mustard seeds -1/2
Urad dal -2 tbsp
Red chilli -1
Hing/asafoetida -a pinch

Top up seasoning

Oil -1 tsp
Mustard seeds -1/2 tsp
Curry leaves -few


Method:

Heat oil,add Mustard seeds,when it splutters add urad dal & red chillies.Fry it till gets golden brown & then add chopped tomatoes,ginger,onions.

Fry till it get half cooked. Then add chopped cabbage,cook till the raw smell goes.

Then cool the cooked mixs. Then grind the cooked mix by adding salt to taste.And transfer the cabbage chutney to a bowl.

Now keep a pan and a little amount of coconut oil or refined oil and heat it.

Add the mustard seed, when it gets splutters, add urdal dal and curry leaves and hings. Put this fries over the chutney and mix it well.


Now taste the Cabbage chutney with your favorite idly,dosa or White plain Rice.
